We’re So Back!
Hello? Is this thing on?
Testing… Testing…
Ah, perfect!
*Ahem*
Hello there, Toons!
My name is Gracie Lovelight and I'm joined by Steve Stevenson, and it is with great excitement that we are glad to announce that Toontown Infinite is officially back! That's right, Toontown Infinite is back and with the blessing of the original team! If you were in the Toontown Infinite Discord server earlier this year, you might already know this, but if not, welcome to exciting news!
Ensuring your safety on our Discord server is our main priority. We know Toontown Infinite carries significant weight, so we are committed to not repeating past mistakes. While we won't cover every action here, we want to highlight a few key measures we have taken to protect our community.
We have implemented various security measures like channel locking, filtering specific words, anonymous user reporting, and more to help cultivate a safe and inclusive community for Toontown Infinite going forward! We would love to go into more detail here, but for the time being, we will leave those details for a future blog post!
What sets this revival apart from past Toontown Private Servers and earlier Toontown Infinite versions? Let me introduce Steve Stevenson, a member of the original 2014 team and the driving force behind this revival.
Before we get too ahead of ourselves, let's talk about what all of this means for you right now. After all, a reboot doesn't matter much if you can't jump in and experience it yourself—and trust me, we've made that part easy.
It's been a long road since Toontown Infinite first launched over a decade ago. We've experienced our share of ups and downs, from exciting innovations to some difficult lessons learned. Many of you have stuck with us through it all, and today I'm proud to announce Toontown Infinite is officially back—and this time, we're in it for the long haul.
We've seen the recent buzz across Reddit and Discord—and yes, it's true: Toontown Infinite is officially coming back. This isn't just a nod to nostalgia; it's a full revival with purpose, care, and a whole lot of tooniness. For those unfamiliar with me, I was one of the original founders of Toontown Infinite in early 2014. I helped lead the project until I left later that year. Now, I'm back because I still believe in what this project started—and what it can become. I want to offer what I can to the community. The hard work done on the original project should never be lost or forgotten. In the years after I left, I kept supporting the community and publicly backed many other Toontown private servers that carried the torch in their own ways.
When we first envisioned Toontown Infinite, we aimed to take Toontown beyond its limits. The name "Infinite" wasn't just a catchy title; it represented a project that could continue to evolve and grow. While challenges arose along the way, we've taken time to reflect and rebuild, ensuring that this relaunch is sustainable and stable. I'm pleased to share that I have the full support of the original team, who have graciously taken on mentorship roles to help guide us forward.
I want to be transparent with all of you: I am the only original team member actively working on this reboot. However, I've been fortunate to receive guidance, mentorship, and contributions from some of the most well-known figures in the Toontown community—ranging from longtime friends to individuals I didn't always see eye to eye with in the past. Their involvement has been invaluable in shaping the future of this project.
I still remember my last message to the community about eight years ago, when I endorsed Toontown Rewritten, Toontown Infinite, and Toontown House as safe places to play. I continued to support the community in the years that followed by publicly endorsing many other Toontown private servers that carried the torch forward in their own ways. When I left, I signed off with a promise to return if I was ever needed—and when I saw that Toontown Infinite was no more, I knew it was time to keep that promise. That moment has arrived.
This reboot isn't just about reviving an old project. It's about creating something sustainable that we can all be proud of. We're focused on delivering a fun, engaging, and familiar experience that remains true to the charm and nostalgia of the original game while addressing areas that required improvement. We've learned from the past, and we're committed to securing the future of Toontown Infinite.
Speaking of security, I know trust must be earned. The community's trust in Toontown Infinite was shaken after rumors spread about a former member attempting to introduce malware into the game. That's a mistake we won't repeat. Moving forward, I will personally digitally sign every download and update of the game and launcher to ensure that what you download is safe, secure, and exactly what it's intended to be. Your trust is our top priority.
I'd also like to take a moment to recognize the Toontown community as a whole. Over the years, private servers have taken the foundation we helped build and transformed it into something truly remarkable. These projects have redefined what we thought was possible with Toontown. It's been inspiring to watch other servers push creative boundaries and foster passionate communities.
What's equally impressive is how much the community has grown—not just in size, but in talent, leadership, and vision. We've watched fans become developers, players become creators, and old ideas evolve into new innovations. Even during times when it felt like the future of Toontown was uncertain, this community never stopped moving forward. That dedication is what keeps this world spinning, and it's a big part of why we've decided to relaunch Toontown Infinite now. Because this community? It's still got plenty of stories to tell.
The innovation and dedication across the Toontown landscape have kept the spirit of the game alive, and we're honored to continue contributing to that legacy.
With all of that in mind, I think this is a good place for me to pass the megaphone back. Gracie has been helping bring everything together behind the scenes, and she's got plenty to share about what's new and what you can expect moving forward.
Thank you, Steve! I could not have said that any better myself! So, what's new with this version of Toontown Infinite? To keep this already lengthy blog post as short as it can be, I'll list out some new features, and if you want to learn more, you can read the patch notes once you're done here!
We have implemented several modern enhancements, including sprinting, custom controls, volume sliders, and Discord Rich Presence, all of which are now available in the game, along with other quality-of-life features.
So, what's next for Toontown Infinite? Well, I'll let Steve answer that question!
Thanks, Gracie! To give everyone a clearer picture of where we're headed, here's a quick breakdown of the major priorities guiding this reboot and how we're building Infinite's future step by step.
Stability and Security: We've made significant upgrades to our infrastructure and security measures to ensure the game runs smoothly and safely for all players.
Community-Driven Development: Your feedback matters. We'll actively work with the community to shape Toontown Infinite's future.
A Fresh Take on Classic Toontown: Our focus is on making unreleased content from Toontown Infinite playable while preserving the game's original charm. Some bosses and areas will offer greater challenges, but we're committed to enhancing the experience without altering the core mechanics.
Now you might be wondering, "How can I play?" and we've got great news for you!
You can already dive into our open beta release at https://toontowninfinite.com/. That's right, you can try out Toontown Infinite for yourself. All you have to do is register for an account by clicking the "Signup" menu button, verify your account, click the "Play" menu button, click on the button that your system's operating system uses (Windows, macOS, or Linux), install the game, and log in!
Please forgive us if the website looks a bit off or bare at the moment—we're actively working on it, including a brand-new blog and overhaul system. The version that's live now is based on an earlier build of the game engine, and both the engine and the entire website framework—frontend, backend, and blog system—are being completely overhauled.
To celebrate the game's return, we're offering Double Experience and Double Progression for a limited time. If you have any more questions, feel free to join our Discord server to ask there (we don't bite)!
With all that said, it's important to talk about where this reboot begins. Toontown Infinite has a history full of big ideas and unfinished potential. So, our first mission is to pick up the pieces, polish them, and rebuild the experience the way it always should've been at the start. We hope you will join us on this journey!
This is just the beginning. Stay TOONed for more updates, sneak peeks, and ways to get involved. Let's make Toontown Infinite truly infinite—together.
We hope to see you around Toontown!
